LTE significa Long Term Evolution, que \u00e9 a norma mundial utilizada para as transmiss\u00f5es de dados sem fios 4G.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A rede 4G LTE foi introduzida no ano de 2008, trazendo consigo v\u00e1rias carater\u00edsticas que as redes 3G n\u00e3o conseguiram fornecer, tais como a elevada velocidade de transmiss\u00e3o de dados (at\u00e9 100 Mbps teoricamente e 15 Mbps na pr\u00e1tica), a baixa lat\u00eancia que permite servi\u00e7os de voz sobre IP (VoIP), o aumento da largura de banda e o acesso em banda larga. A rede 4G LTE \u00e9 uma rede de sucesso a n\u00edvel mundial, com 6,6 mil milh\u00f5es de assinaturas, ligando dois ter\u00e7os dos utilizadores da rede em todo o mundo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"What_are_4G_LTE_Bands\"><\/span>O que s\u00e3o as bandas 4G LTE?<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>As bandas LTE s\u00e3o definidas como os blocos de frequ\u00eancias utilizados para a transmiss\u00e3o de dados de um local para outro. Estas bandas s\u00e3o designadas por um \u00fanico n\u00famero; por exemplo, a banda LTE 1 \u00e9 constitu\u00edda por uma frequ\u00eancia de 2100 MHz, mas cont\u00e9m uma gama de frequ\u00eancias de 1920 MHz a 1980 MHz para as transmiss\u00f5es de liga\u00e7\u00e3o ascendente e de 2110 MHz a 2170MHz para as transmiss\u00f5es de liga\u00e7\u00e3o descendente. Al\u00e9m disso, a gama de frequ\u00eancias em cada banda pode mudar de uma localiza\u00e7\u00e3o geogr\u00e1fica para outra, dependendo da atribui\u00e7\u00e3o de bandas de espetro efectuada pelos governos locais.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"FDD_and_TDD_LTE_Bands\"><\/span>Bandas LTE FDD e TDD<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Os espectros de frequ\u00eancia nas comunica\u00e7\u00f5es sem fios s\u00e3o de dois tipos: FDD e TDD. Vamos analisar cada um deles em pormenor:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"1_What_is_FDD_Band\"><\/span>1. O que \u00e9 a banda FDD<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Significa duplexa\u00e7\u00e3o por divis\u00e3o de frequ\u00eancia (FDD) que utiliza espetro emparelhado. Espectro emparelhado significa que tem duas bandas de frequ\u00eancia separadas e iguais para transmiss\u00e3o por liga\u00e7\u00e3o ascendente e transmiss\u00e3o por liga\u00e7\u00e3o descendente. Por exemplo, um telem\u00f3vel \u00e9 um dispositivo de utilizador baseado em FDD que permite que ambas as partes falem simultaneamente, uma vez que fornece bandas de frequ\u00eancia separadas para a transfer\u00eancia de dados por liga\u00e7\u00e3o ascendente e descendente.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"2_What_is_TDD_Band\"><\/span>2. O que \u00e9 a banda TDD<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Significa duplexa\u00e7\u00e3o por divis\u00e3o do tempo (TDD), que utiliza um espetro n\u00e3o emparelhado. Espectro n\u00e3o emparelhado significa que \u00e9 utilizada uma \u00fanica banda de frequ\u00eancia para as transmiss\u00f5es de liga\u00e7\u00e3o ascendente e descendente, mas com separa\u00e7\u00e3o temporal. Por exemplo, o walkie talkie \u00e9 um dispositivo baseado em TDD que permite que apenas uma pessoa fale de cada vez, proporcionando uma \u00fanica banda de frequ\u00eancia para a transfer\u00eancia de dados.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As bandas LTE atribu\u00eddas ao FDD e ao TDD s\u00e3o diferentes, mas podem sobrepor-se. \u00c9 da responsabilidade do UE detetar qual o modo de transmiss\u00e3o que est\u00e1 a ser selecionado numa determinada banda, num determinado local, ou seja, FDD ou TDD. \u00c0s bandas de frequ\u00eancia do 4G LTE s\u00e3o atribu\u00eddos n\u00fameros diferentes. Por exemplo, as bandas LTE de 1 a 22 s\u00e3o atribu\u00eddas ao FDD e as bandas de 33 a 41 s\u00e3o atribu\u00eddas ao TDD.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"3_FDD_LTE_Frequency_Band_Allocation\"><\/span>3. Atribui\u00e7\u00e3o de bandas de frequ\u00eancia FDD LTE<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>O aperfei\u00e7oamento da t\u00e9cnica de agrega\u00e7\u00e3o de portadoras deu origem a v\u00e1rias bandas novas, como B29, B32, B67 e B69, utilizadas para a agrega\u00e7\u00e3o de portadoras apenas na transmiss\u00e3o por liga\u00e7\u00e3o descendente.
